Kadoorie, Elly Silas
(1867-1944)
   Hong Kong businessman,brother of Ellis Kadoorie. He was born in Baghdad and setded in Hong Kong, developing business interests in Shanghai and other cities. He was an active Zionist and served as president of the Palestine Foundation fund in Shanghai, established agricultural schools in Palestine, and contributed to the construction of the Hebrew University.
